A few months ago, I shared what was on and off my needles. One of those sweaters was a pattern by Jane Richmond (check out her blog here!). I loved knitting her ladies classic raglan pullover but failed to share the final pics. So now that she is having an awesome sale to celebrate hitting 1,000 Facebook fans, I figured it was about dang time.
If you're a beginner knitter and want to try a hand at sweaters, I'd highly recommend this one. The directions are very straight forward and additionally, you can use Pattons Classic Wool from AC Moore or Michael's (I did). I find that accessible yarn like Pattons is a great jumping off point for a new knitter.
As I mentioned, Jane is having a sale right now where you can buy one pattern and get the second for free but her sale ends today. I purchased her Audrey sweater pattern and Grace from her new book, Island. I'm so pumped to start working on those sweaters that Aidan and I plan to venture out in this little bit of snow we've gotten and hit up a local yarn shop! Happy knitting!
weeee for yarn shopping! as you know i'm a major fan of jane's patterns ;) haha she's so sweet. i love both audrey and grace! exciting! what yarn will you get for these cardis? also.. you look fantastic! love the classic raglan! i've knit 2 of them, and am planning on knitting a third. :) xoox
ReplyDeleteI got a really pretty pink by Spud & Chloe for the Grace cardi - will def post photos of that soon and my progress! I will probably get Sweet Georgia for the Audrey cardi but had to do one at a time so the hubs wouldn't have a heart attack. And I will definitely be doing another classic raglan. So fast to knit!! Plus I want to make the next one a bit longer.
