Two years later

Two years ago Alan surprised me at work after being in Afghanistan for three months.  Two years ago we enjoyed the end of Labor Day weekend with a simple dinner.  Two years ago, I was so excited by his proposal that I talked through half of it, said yes at least a dozen times, and then asked "Can I have it?" when he presented the most beautiful engagement ring. 

Two years later I still love to put on my engagement ring.  Two years later I still adore the man behind the ring.  Two years later I am hopeful for much, much more in our future.
