When Alan returned home from Afghanistan just over two weeks before our wedding, I honestly thought there were animals hiding in all that hair. Maybe they escaped minutes before the clippers arrived. Animals aside, I totally love that guy. Alan has seen me at my very best (our wedding day) and my very worst (probably the entire first week after giving birth). For some crazy reason, he has held my hand and been my very calm rock through it all.
This year I have the best presents - my big Valentine and my little one - and my heart is so full it might explode. With fireworks.
