Santa & Aidan

The holidays are my favorite time of year.  I love tradition.  I love spending time with family.  I love the extra bit of joy this time of year brings.  And most of all, I love that at the darkest time of the year, we celebrate the light.

As Aidan grows up I want him to know the importance of tradition.  And hopefully one of those traditions at Christmas time will be a photo with Santa.  Alan and I were so excited this year, that we joined in as well.  Our little nugget slept through the whole thing but still looks adorable if I may say so!

Aidan's hat is one I knitted from a pattern by Jane Richmond, a knitter that I adore.  The hat looks a bit big in the photo but actually fits fairly well.  Of course, I knitted the smallest size and he could still grow into it some more.  We'll get more photos of him in it during the holiday season and I'm keeping the pattern handy to make for future years.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from our little family to yours!

  2. I knew you were friends - I've seen posts of you all doing things together. How cool that you all have knit nights together as well. You all seem to have an incredible group of knitting women up there in Canada. Wish it were close by so I could visit!! :)
